Casa Blanca
Designed and built by your host, Warren Roché in 1990, the Casa Blanca is his artwork, from conception and draft to construction and interior design.
The design and finish were inspired by the great flourishing of vernacular architecture in Southern California from near the beginning of the twentieth century to the Great Depression. Elena’s classic Plein Air paintings, family portraits and the ever growing collection of antique Craftsman furniture adds to the elegant, but relaxed, atmosphere of the Inn.
Sylvia and Ramon
KING WITH DAYBED and ENSUITE BATHROOM
The Sylvia and Ramon Room commemorates the silent film actor Ramon Navarro and the elusive ingenue known only as Sylvia. Stickley and Limbert Antique and Contemporary Craftsman furniture recall the Hollywood of the early 20th Century.

The Nick and Nora Room is dedicated to the 1930’s “Thin Man” detective-movie characters, Nick and Nora Charles. Contemporary and antique Stickley Craftsman furniture adds to the atmosphere. Keep the Martinis coming.

Bogey and Bacall
ROSEWOOD QUEEN WITH ENSUITE BATHROOM
One of the two no-stair-access rooms on the Casa Rosa ground floor, the Bogey and Bacall Room features Tropical Rosewood furniture that was purchased from a Hollywood movie starlet (who wishes to remain anonymous).This room is inspired by the Caribbean adventures of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall in the film, “To Have and Have Not”. A small fountain and pond outside the window adds to the restful atmosphere for all you mugs and dames.
